Olma
Swiss
Waterproof
This is a very neat and rare Swiss-made vintage Olma military-style wristwatch that we estimate to be from the 1940s.
It is a Swiss manual-wind mechanical movement with 15 jewels and a sub-second dial. The caliber is not marked on the movement.
The dial is in good condition, showing minor wear and some patina, but is very bright and legible. Olma is clearly signed on the dial below 12 o'clock, and also signed Waterproof and Swiss Made. It is a nice, even, cream color with brightly luminous radium Arabic numerals. The blued-steel hands are pencil-shaped with white centers where they were likely lumed. The dial is also a 24-hour dial and has a minute track, all in black with Arabic numerals. The stainless steel case diameter measures 31.4mm and is a screw down back. It shows light wear consistent with regular use, but is still in great condition for being approximately 80 years old.
This watch is coming on a new green nylon NATO one-piece strap with silver hardware.
This Olma wristwatch is a great collector's piece for those collectors of lesser-known/obscure watch makers.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
Please review the photos and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
It will be carefully packed.
